The Emir of Kuwait re-appointed Sabah al-Khalid as Prime Minister by royal decree.
According to Kuwaiti media reports, Crown Prince Sheikh Mashaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued a royal decree re-appointing the resigned Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid.
After the appointment, Sheikh Sabah will now form his cabinet.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah had submitted his resignation to the Emir of Kuwait on November 8 over differences with the parliament, which he approved on November 14 and directed the cabinet and ministers to act as caretaker government.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah had tendered his resignation on November 8 this year.
