iPhone 14 Pro will come with A16 Bionic and iPhone 14 with A15 Bionic
The testimony of this renowned analyst indicates that only the Pro models will be entitled to the next generation of Apple processors. In fact, only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will benefit from the new A16 Bionic.
The iPhone14 and iPhone 14 Max will hit the market with the A15 Bionic. This is the same processor that integrates the iPhone 13 line of equipment and the new generation of the iPhone SE.
Furthermore, also the type of RAM will differ between the next major releases from Apple. Although everyone is entitled to 6 GB of RAM, the base models will have LPDDR 4X modules, while the Pro will make the jump to LPDDR5.
As already mentioned, if this information is confirmed, it will be the first time in history that Apple uses different processors in its top of the range. The reasons for this were not advanced, however, the shortage of components could be one of the reasons.
In practice, this means that those who opt for the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Max will have a lower device than the respective Pro model. If the prices of the new equipment do not drop, this will surely be an option that will generate discord among fans.
Although the A15 Bionic is currently the most powerful SoC on the mobile market, this status will be outdated with the introduction of its successor A16. If users continue to pay €929 for the smartphone, their discontent will be understandable.
