Apple: Users only receive Apple Studio and MacBook Pro in August

Apple’s production delays are affecting deliveries of some branded equipment to users.

If you order a 16-inch Mac Studio or Macbook Pro today on Apple’s Portuguese website, you’ll receive the models at home between July 29 and August 2.

Difficulties in Apple production delay delivery of equipment to users

The 14-inch MacBook Pro is available in Portugal from 2,349 euros

Due to an outbreak of Covid-19, the industry in China was subjected to a new lockdown that led to a temporary stoppage of some production units, which is affecting the delivery of orders from relevant brands in the high-tech market.

Apple is one of the targets and is experiencing delivery delays for Mac Studio and 16-inch MacBook Pro orders. For example, if a user orders one of the two devices today on the brand’s Portuguese website, delivery is scheduled for the period between July 19 and August 2, in the case of selecting free shipping.
If you pay the postage amounting to 12.30 euros, you will receive the equipment between July 15 and 29.

According to reports from other countries, the delay may be a little longer if the user chooses to further customize the equipment, selecting more advanced chips and memory or storage with more capacity.

The good news is that there are no delivery delays for the 13-inch MacBook Pro. If you order this model today with 512 GB of SSD storage on the brand’s Portuguese website, delivery is made immediately the next day.

The 256GB model will ship between June 7 and June 13 if ordered today. That is a reasonable period, considering that the most advanced models would only arrive at the end of July or the beginning of August.

In Portugal, the delivery of iPhone is not delayed

It should be noted that, for now, most iPhone models are not experiencing delivery delays in Portugal. If we order an iPhone 13, 13 Pro, or 13 Pro Max today, it will be delivered the next day. Only the iPhone 13 mini model has a longer delivery time that could be between June 7 and 13.

This delay in Apple’s deliveries, which is apparently happening globally, will be reflected in the company’s revenue. Experts estimate that these problems cost the Cupertino company between $4 billion and $8 billion.

When converting directly to the European currency, we are talking about values between 3,700 and 7,400 million euros. If confirmed, this will be a blow to Tim Cook.

Especially after the CEO publicly stated that he expected the supply chain and component production line issues to go away during this year. But it seems that they persist and Apple will have to deal with and overcome these difficulties.
