Apple: iPhone brings fundamental details in iOS 16. But there is a catch

This Monday the fifth Beta (test) version of iOS 16 was released for those who have a compatible iPhone. And there is a novelty that iPhone users with a notch have never had access to.

Something that Apple abandoned with iPhones with a notch was the possibility of seeing the battery percentage in the status bar. Something that today we can only check by doing swipe downand appears at the top of Control Center.

With the Beta 5 version of iOS 16 this is over. One of the great news is that now the The battery icon in the status bar can now show the exact battery percentage. And this is a novelty that you can enable or disable in Battery Settings.

This novelty is not available for all iPhone with notch

If you have an iPhone 12, 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max, this is a novelty that you will be able to use. And the same can be said for those who have an iPhone 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. On older models, it can also be used by those who have an iPhone X and iPhone Xs.

However, this is a novelty that does not seem to be available in the latest iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. It is also mentioned that the iPhone 11 (they have Pro versions) and iPhone XR do not have access to this novelty either.

This is a simple and critical feature that Apple has simply removed from these models for “space” reasons in recent years. Let’s hope now that it ends up making room for it in models with a notch in which it is not yet active.

It should be noted that this feature is still active only for those who have the Beta 5 version of iOS 16. You can only use it if you have the latest test version. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the final version of iOS 16 to arrive in September.
