Ansu and Asensio animate the siesta

The rival, the friendly condition of the game and the time, more typical of a siesta or a German TV movie, did not accompany, so the goals of Ansu Fati, Gavi and Nico Williams helped to see the Jordan-Spain with good eyes. It was the last test before the World Cup and the best news is not only 1-3, with so many of rabid youth, but the fact that no player was injured. In less than a week we made our debut against Costa Rica and that gunpowder is already real, not a harmless little water pistol.

The alignment hid surprise, otherwise we would not be talking about an eleven of Luis Enrique. The great novelty was the presence of Laporte on the left side. With the absence of Gayà due to injury, due to the ankle sprain suffered on Wednesday, the coach preferred to reserve Jordi Alba, who thus points to the title in the debut next Wednesday. Above, Asensio played nine, with Sarabia on his right and Ansu Fati on the left. And the first Jordanian reaction was that the central defender Al Arab would follow the Real Madrid player wherever he went. Spain moved the ball but they had to put in one more gear, otherwise it would be difficult to break the seams of the rival. A Jordan that entrusted its offensive options to long balls over Al Naimat, who was fighting by himself with the Spanish defense.

At 12′, in his first shot on goal, Ansu Fati scores. He did it despite a discreet shot, because the shot from the boat soon went to the center of the goal. The luck was to have the complicity of Al Fakhouri, to whom the ball slipped into his hands. The difference between seventh in the FIFA ranking and 84 is precisely that, that of knowing how to solve when it’s time. Because only three minutes later Al Naimat enjoyed a dream chance, similar to that of the Catalan, but he made a mistake. He received only inside the area after a slip by Pau Torres, but his shot, also in the center but from above, found Robert Sánchez’s gloves, who cleared the danger.

Ansu scored but not only that, because at no time did he stop moving, falling to the wing, throwing pipes, associating with Asensio in what supposes a society formed by two players that a couple of months ago saw Qatar much further than what the mileage says. After half an hour, Ansu returned to put fear in Al Fakhouri’s body, although his parable went slightly over the crossbar. He would try again, as well as Asensio or Sarabia, but the goal was resisted and the break knocked on the door with the 0-1.

The second part gave rise to a flurry of changes, up to twelve had agreed to make Jordan and Spain. So David Raya and Azpilicueta entered the starting game and from there they did Alba, Pino, Olmo, Ferran Torres, Rodrigo and Nico Williams. A carousel that ended up making the game fall like a house of cards, leaving the duel at a leisurely pace only altered by goals from Gavi and Nico Williams. If Ansu scored at the age of 20, his teammate did so at 18 and Athletic’s at 20. Nico’s goal would close the scoring in a game in which Jordan remained firm until the end (hence Saleh’s goal in minute 91′) and that offensively left us with the confidence of Ansu and the versatility of Asensio (he played nine and inside right) and defensively the doubts of Pau Torres, who is fighting with Laporte to be the left center back in his debut. In a week we left doubts.
