Salman Khan’s latest film, Sikandar, has people talking about the significant age gap between him and his co-star, Rashmika Mandanna. Now, Amisha Patel has shared her thoughts on the matter. In an interview with IANS, Amisha pointed out the age difference between Salman and Rashmika, and even drew a parallel with her own experience working with Sunny Deol.
A Big Age Gap
Amisha said, “There’s a big age gap between me and Sunny Deol – over 20 years. But when the film works, everything else is forgotten.” She made this comment in reference to her films with Sunny Deol, including Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and its sequel. These movies were huge successes at the box office.
Amisha and Sunny’s Age Difference
It’s worth noting that Amisha and Sunny Deol have an 18-year age gap between them. Despite this, they’ve worked together successfully in two films. This age difference didn’t seem to affect the on-screen chemistry between the two actors.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan had addressed the issue of age gaps in relationships during the trailer launch of Sikandar. He jokingly pointed out the 31-year age difference between him and Rashmika, saying, “The heroine doesn’t have a problem with it, and neither does her father.” He then turned to Rashmika and asked if she had any issues with their age gap.
Sikandar’s Storyline
Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, hit theaters on March 30 and received mixed reviews. The film tells the story of Rajkot’s king, Sanjay “Sikandar” (Salman Khan), who becomes the target of minister Rakesh Pradhan (Satyaraj). After Sikandar’s wife (Rashmika) dies, her donated organs save the lives of three people, making Rakesh their enemy as well. Sanjay must now protect these three individuals.
The Cast of Sikandar
The film features a star-studded cast, including Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Satyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarina, and Sanjay Kapoor. Despite the hype surrounding the film, Sikandar failed to make a significant impact at the box office.
