Alpha Inversiones and Barna will train journalists on the stock market

With the aim of building communicators about the stock market, the Alpha Inversiones brokerage firm will hold the first edition of the course “Investments in the stock market”, in collaboration with Barna Management School.

The course, which will be taught every Saturdays between June 11 and July 2will consist of three modules that will train journalists covering economic issues on the importance of efficient management of personal finances and will emphasize how to understand the local and international stock markets and investment strategies.

The executive vice president of Alpha Inversiones, Santiago Camarena, affirmed that this program is part of the commitment of this brokerage position to contribute to the training of strategic allies such as members of the press, so that they can serve as multipliers of content in Dominican society.

The rector of Barna Management School, Paulo Alves, reaffirmed the willingness of said entity to continue disseminating specialized knowledge that allows for an in-depth understanding of key issues for development, as it has done since its foundation in 1999.

In the first module of the workshop, press professionals will receive information on the importance of personal finance, financial planning tools and recommendations for making healthy financial decisionslinked to savings, spending and investments.

The second module, which will focus on the Dominican stock market, begins with a historical overview of the development of the stock market in the country, the profiles of investors, laws that regulate this sector and different investment products that are currently offered.

Before the end of the program, the third module will explain the global stock market management the different variable income products and the tools to take into account to evaluate the programs.

The realization of this workshop is part of the collaboration agreement signed by Alpha Inversiones and Barna Management School at the beginning of this year with a view to promoting entrepreneurship among students of the Business Management degree and offering them support to develop their managerial skills and receive professional support. .
