The leadership of Aldosivi fired Leandro Somoza as coach of “Tiburón” on Thursday as a result of the team’s poor season, which is in last place in the Professional League and is in the relegation zone in the table of averages.
Somoza, 41, will not continue to be the coach of the Mar del Plata team, according to club sources, although there is still the official confirmation of the institution that will be given during this day.
Aldosivi comes from being thrashed 3-0 against Arsenal, as a visitor on the last day, a result that triggered discontent on the part of the “Shark” bias, which on Wednesday was present at the club’s sports venue to demand the resignation of the technician.
“Flaco” led Aldosivi in 16 games, with only three wins, three draws and ten losses, the last four consecutively: 2-1 against Sarmiento at home, 3-0 against Independiente, 2-1 with Newell’s in Mar del Plata and the aforementioned 3-0 against Arsenal in Sarandí. He had started the contest as a Central coach, where he was also fired due to the team’s poor campaign.
Aldosivi is at the bottom of the standings with 13 units, like Vélez but with worse goal difference, and is also in the relegation zone along with Patronato de Paraná.
The coaches who sound like alternatives to replace Somoza are Fernando “Teté” Quiroz, who already directed Aldosivi and left a great memory, and Sergio “Huevo” Rondina, who was last in Colón.
