Jaylen Brown scored 26 points and the Celtics played solid defense in a 116-83 win over the Orlando Magic on Sunday, as Boston posted its best streak of the season with its fifth straight victory.
Boston limited Orlando to 35.8% shooting from the field and 5-for-25 from 3-point range. It was similar to their matchup in November, when the Celtics blew the Magic away by limiting them to 79 points and 32.1% shooting from the field — both season-lows for Orlando.
Dennis Schröder had 23 points and made four 3-pointers off the bench for Boston, while Al Horford added 13 points and 11 rebounds in his 10th double-double. Jayson Tatum had 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but was only 6 of 18 from the field. Brown, who scored a career-high 50 points in a win over Orlando last month, was 10-for-22 shooting.
Rookie Jalen Suggs added 17 points, six rebounds and five assists for Orlando, which fell to 0-21 in games without scoring at least 100 points, the worst record in the NBA.
