Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won the municipal corporation elections in the capital of India, New Delhi.
According to the details, the Aam Aadmi Party in India ended Modi’s government in Delhi after fifteen years.
The Aam Aadmi Party won 134 out of 250 seats in the municipal corporation elections in Delhi.
BJP managed to win 104 seats while Congress was restricted to only nine seats.
One hundred and twenty seats are required to form a government in Delhi and after the election results, BJP’s fifteen-year rule in Delhi ended.
After winning the elections, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arun Kejriwal thanked the people of Delhi in his address and said that they have chosen his son and brother to handle the affairs of the municipal corporation.
Arvind Kejriwal said that he wants to work together to ‘eliminate corruption and negative politics’.
It should be remembered that in the municipal corporation elections of 2017, the BJP had won one hundred and eighty seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party could only win forty-eight seats and the Congress thirty seats.
