Acting Pakistani Ambassador in Kabul, Asad Abbas, in response to the criticism of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement by the Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister, has said that Pakistan-Afghan bilateral relations should not be seen in the context of just one speech.

Acting Pakistani Ambassador in Kabul Asad Abbas said that there is a positive and constructive relationship between Pakistan and the Afghan people. In his speech, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif demanded to restore the frozen assets of Afghanistan.

Asad Abbas said that the Secretary of the United Nations asked to give a positive response to the appeal of 4 billion two million dollars. He said that the relations between the two countries should not be seen in the context of a speech.

The statement further said that in just one month, Pakistan has donated 1 million US dollars to the Jinnah Hospital in Kabul. Pakistan also provided scholarships to Afghan students and eased the visa policy.

It should be noted that yesterday, Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Abbas criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement regarding Afghanistan in the United Nations.
