Aaron Judge is determined to leave his name in the record books of the New York yankees and of the american league of the Big leagues.

Now, ‘El Juez’ has achieved it by getting his 61st home run in the 2022 season and equaling the Roger Maris record during the seventh inning of the Yankees game against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center.

After failing to hit a homer in 31 box appearances since reaching 60 four-corner batts, Judge hit a sinker off reliever Tim Mayza who was traveling at 94.5 miles per hour and sent it in the direction of left field.

In this way, the native of Linden, California, managed to tie the record of the Yankees and the AL that Roger Maris established in the 1961 campaign. At the rate he is going, the 30-year-old baseball player projects 62 home runs at the end of the regular season.
