Australia’s limited-pack captain Aaron Finch praised Justin Langer’s “incredible job” on the team’s recent success, but refrained from commenting on the continuation of his managerial deal. Cricket Australia is expected to discuss with Finch and Test captain Pat Cummins before making a decision on Langer’s contract extension.
Langer’s running style has also been heavily criticized by some players, but the former starter has expressed a desire to continue as head coach.

“He’s done a wonderful job,” Finch said. He played a good part in making us world champions (T20) when no one expected it. We completely dominated the Ashes and won 4-0 but the result was very close to 5-0.
