Members of the 21st Section of Operations Area IV received a call reporting that a man had fallen on a public street and was attempting to steal cables.
At the scene, police confirmed the presence of the man with injuries and reduced vital functions and transferred him to Saint-Bois Hospital. There he was diagnosed with severe head trauma and was referred to the Hospital de ClÃnicas.
According to investigators, they found blood stains at the crime scene and a clamp that the injured man probably used to cut the wiring of the transformer located there.
Scientific police and UTE personnel worked on site.
The man’s identity is currently unknown.
