A large number of foreign employees moved from Kuwait to the Gulf countries, the reason came to light

Kuwait: A large number of foreigners who came to Kuwait for employment from different countries of the world are now trying to go to Dubai (UAE), due to the attractive salary and benefits.

Foreign domestic workers left Kuwait and settled in which Gulf countries? And the Kuwaiti economist revealed the reasons for leaving Kuwait.

According to the report of Al-Jareedah daily, Bassam Al-Shamri, an expert on domestic labor issues, has revealed a new trend among foreign domestic workers in Kuwait.

He says that a large number of foreign domestic workers are moving there from Kuwait to the UAE, especially Dubai, to obtain entry visas.

He explained that Kuwait has become a “transit” for people and a gateway from which foreigners want to go to Dubai to work.

According to the report, Bassam al-Shamri says that he is recruited by local offices in accordance with the legal framework, after which he applies for an entry visa to the UAE and then does not return.

He said that unlike Kuwait, the work environment there is particularly attractive for domestic workers with higher salaries and various benefits.

He said that it is unfortunate that Kuwait is causing these foreign workers to leave Kuwait due to the escalation of conflicts. It should be noted that according to the statistics released in October, the Public Authority for Manpower has registered more than 1,000 labor complaints.

These complaints include absconding reports, referral to the judiciary and confiscation of employee’s passport, besides non-payment of monthly dues or post-employment service payments.

He added that these domestic workers include those who were reported to have run away from their sponsors or those who had labor disputes with their sponsors that could not be resolved amicably.
