A hurricane near Cuba, the state of emergency is also enforced in the US state of Florida

Hurricane Ion has reached Category 1 intensity and is heading west of Cuba.

The foreign news agency said with reference to the American National Hurricane Center that the storm Ion has intensified and is accelerating.

The storm is heading west of Cuba towards the northwest. The Cayman Islands may also be affected by the storm. Due to the storm, winds are blowing at a speed of 120 km per hour.

A warning to be careful has also been issued for the western coastal areas of the US state of Florida. Areas for which warnings have been issued include the Tampa Bay area.

On Sunday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for all 67 counties in the state.
