Late on Sunday afternoon, the judiciary brought charges against a teenager 15 years old, as the perpetrator of the murder of a 29-year-old man in the neighborhood Placido Ellauri from Montevideo. The crime happened on Saturday at four in the morning.
For the prosecution, the minor is the one who stabbed the victim. For this reason, he was sent to a unit of the National Institute for Adolescent Social Inclusion (Inisa) where he awaited his final verdict.
The victim was in his house with his father when four men entered and one of them attacked him without a word. Although the man was transferred to the Capitán Tula Polyclinic, he died. He had injuries to his head and chest.
Police are examining the video surveillance cameras that capture the moment the killers enter and leave the house. When police later tracked down the suspect, they discovered he had blood on his clothing.
This was the first of the three murders that occurred in Montevideo on Saturday. The other two occurred in Cerro and Villa Muñoz.
