“The Queens of the Caribbean” seek this Tuesday against Croatia their second victory in the World Cup

The Women’s Volleyball Team of the Dominican Republic will seek its second victory this Tuesday when it faces the Croatian team, at 11:30 in the morning (Dominican time) in the World Championship held in Holland and Poland.

The Dominican team traveled from the Netherlands to Poland for the continuation of the Volleyball World Championship on Tuesday.

The Dominicans come from convincingly defeating the Korea sextet three sets to nil last Saturday.

Croatia is ranked 20th in the FIVB world rankings, while the Dominicans are ranked 9th.

The team’s manager, Marcos Kwiek, pointed out that the goal of the Creole team is to advance to the second round of the World Championship and for that, they will go out on the field day by day to give everything.

“There are no small enemies here, we have to play with our hearts and win every point in every set,” he said.

He indicated that the most important thing is that the athletes are in good physical condition and dedicated to the cause.

“It’s always important to win the first match in a World Cup,” said Marcos.

The Dominicans’ offensive attack in the first game was led by Gaila González, Yonkaira Peña and Brayelin Martínez.
