Assen MotoGP 2024: Dates, TV & How to Watch

The eighth round of the 2024 MotoGP season is here, and it’s none other than the Dutch Grand Prix, or as it’s also known, the “Cathedral” of Assen. The event comes after a three-week break, during which some significant moves have been made in the motorcycle racing world.

As of now, Ducati has confirmed that Marc Márquez will join their official team, which means Jorge Martin has signed with Aprilia. Meanwhile, KTM has moved to hire Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini for their Tech3 team. These announcements are just the tip of the iceberg, as more news is expected to break in the coming days.

As the competition gets underway, three riders are tied at the top of the standings in the MotoGP championship. Martinator holds the lead, with 18 points ahead of Pecco Bagnaia, who is gaining momentum in recent tests. Marc Márquez trails behind, 35 points from the top.

In Moto2, Sergio García Dols remains in the lead, albeit with a slim 7-point margin over Joe Roberts, the winner in Mugello. Ai Ogura from MT-MSi is just 23 points behind the leader. Alonso López, Manu González, Aldeguer, and Canet are looking to make up ground and gain consistency in the coming races.

In Moto3, David Alonso is the dominant force, having already built a sizeable lead. The entire grid is gunning to take him down, with Dani Holgado hot on his heels. Veijer, the local hero, will be seeking to impress his fans with a strong performance.

The 2024 MotoGP Netherlands Grand Prix can be followed on MARCA.com and Radio MARCA. TV coverage will be provided by DAZN and Movistar Plus, while MotoGP fans can also opt for the VideoPass service offered by the championship itself.
