Michael Schumacher’s Family Scandal: Blackmailers Busted

This Monday it was learned through the German press that some criminals have tried to blackmail Michael Schumacher’s family. All information comes from the Wuppertal Public Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating the case of extortion of the seven-time F1 world champion’s entourage.

As everybody knows, Schumi lives secluded after his very serious ski accident suffered on December 29, 2013. He has not appeared in public since that fateful moment. And it is true that any detail that is leaked is of enormous interest given the secrecy surrounding the figure of the great German pilot. It is logical that Corinna, woman of the Kaiser, act like this, given the morbidity aroused by the state of health of the seven-time world champion.

According to Der Spiegel, the two men, 53 and 30 years old, have been caught. They are father and son and had threatened to publish compromised documents in exchange for a large sum of money. They sent individual files to the Schumachers to underline the seriousness of their threat. They were arrested on June 19 in a supermarket parking lot in Gross-Gerau, Hesse, and are currently in custody. If they are found guilty, they could serve prison sentences of up to five years.
