The Public Transport Authority in Saudi Arabia has approved uniforms for taxi drivers and application taxi drivers, effective July 12, 2022.
According to the state-run news agency SPA, the Public Transport Authority said in a statement that uniforms for taxi and application drivers would enhance the quality of transport service and have a positive impact.
The Authority said that taxi and application taxi service is being modernized. Several changes are being made in this regard.
The technical characteristics of taxis are being determined. New vehicles will be used in taxis, old vehicles are being banned.
The Public Transport Authority has asked all workers and officials involved in the application and the taxi to visit the authority’s website for details of the new uniform.
