27 years since the martyrdom of Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Jalil Ahmed Andrabi

It has been 27 years since the martyrdom of prominent Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Jalil Ahmed Andrabi.

Jalil Ahmed Andrabi Shaheed, belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, was a leader of human rights and freedom movement. On March 28, 1996, Major Avtar Singh of Bharatiya Rashtriya Rifles imprisoned Jalil Ahmed Andrabi on the pretext of investigation.

Two weeks later, on March 27, the sacked body of the Kashmiri Hurriyat leader was found in the river Jhelum near Kursoraj Bagh in Srinagar. The post-mortem report also confirmed the worst torture on Jalil Ahmad Andrabi.

When this matter came to the media, India made Major Watar Singh flee to America instead of Kuszadeen. Jalil Ahmad Andrabi’s murder and court murder is a slap on the face of the so-called Indian democracy.
