200 whales died after stranding on the beach

200 whales died after stranding on a remote beach in the Australian state of Tasmania.

The French news agency AFP has quoted rescue officials as saying that 35 fish are currently alive on the beach, which wildlife officials worked hard to save.

An aerial photograph of the Australian coast shows dozens of shiny and black whales stranded in a sandy area of the sea.

According to the report, the local people tried to keep the fish alive by pouring sea water from buckets on them before the authorities of the concerned department arrived.

According to a media report, Brendan Clark, Operations Manager of the Department of Wildlife, says that at the moment our focus is on surviving fish and releasing them back into the sea, unfortunately a large number of fish have died.

It should be noted that earlier in 2020, 470 whales were trapped on the coast of Tasmania, out of which 300 were killed.
