Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that 100 billion Turkish currency has been released for immediate relief to the earthquake victims.
On the destruction caused by the terrible earthquake, the Turkish president said that the state emergency will remain in effect for three months, and the citizens should keep roads and phone lines empty.
He said that people from all over the country are coming for help, while other cities have been instructed to provide accommodation for the affected people.
President Erdoğan said that about 5400 people are working on the search and rescue operation.
The Turkish president said that 50,000 beds have been arranged in Anatolia for the injured. International leaders have sent calls and messages for aid.
