Zimbabwe Cricket Team Announced for T20 Series Against India

After winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title, the Indian team is set to play its next series in this format on the tour of Zimbabwe from July 6. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already announced Team India, with Shubman Gill set to captain the team. Zimbabwe Cricket has also announced a 17-member team, with Sikandar Raza at the helm, but many senior players have been dropped from the team.

When These Players Returned, Ryan Burl and Craig Irvine Did Not Get a Place

Tendai Chatara, Brandon Mavuta, and Wesley Madhevere have returned to the 17-member team announced by Zimbabwe Cricket for the T20 series against India. Ryan Burl, Joelord Gumbai, and Anisley Endlu have not been included in the team, apart from this Craig Ervine and Sean Williams were not even considered for selection. Many young players have also been given a place in this Zimbabwean team, one of which is Anthum Naqvi, who is of Pakistani origin. In domestic cricket, Naqvi’s batting average has been 73.42 in List-A format and he played an unbeaten innings of 300 runs in the first-class format in January last year.
