Fans of the group BLACKPINK, known as BLINKs, have a new reason to cheer. YG Entertainment, the agency behind the famous girl group, has officially confirmed plans for a new album. The goal is to release it sometime in November. This news has sparked a wave of excitement among the group’s many supporters.
Yang Hyun-suk, who founded YG, shared details on the agency’s YouTube channel. He mentioned how hard the BLACKPINK members and producers are working on the new music. He hopes the album will be ready by November. The team is dedicated to getting new songs to fans as quickly as possible. Earlier reports from Korean media outlet My Daily Korea suggested the upcoming album might be a mini-album. YG, however, has chosen to keep those details under wraps for now, promising more information later.
The group recently put out a single called “Jump” in July. Producer Diplo worked on that track. It was the first new song from BLACKPINK since its four members—Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo—began focusing on successful solo projects. Before “Jump,” the group released their mini-album “Kill This Love” in 2019. Their full-length album, “Born Pink,” came out in 2022.
BLACKPINK is also in the middle of their “Deadline World Tour.” They just wrapped up two big shows at Wembley Stadium in London on August 15 and 16. Two more concert dates are set for November 29 and 30 at the Singapore National Stadium. The group continues to maintain a busy schedule, balancing new music with their ongoing tour.
Individual members are also making headlines. Rosé recently achieved something special by earning eight nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). These include major categories like Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects for her hit song “Apt.” She collaborated with Bruno Mars on that track. Rosé also received a nomination for Best K-pop for “Toxic Til The End,” a song from her solo album, “Rosie.”
Rosé shared her feelings about the nominations on her Instagram Stories. She said she was both surprised and speechless. She described it as a “crazy day” and confessed she didn’t know what to say.
