Sustainable transport is becoming increasingly important as the world faces environmental challenges. One of the most popular and current forms of this type of transport is electric bicycles, an efficient and ecological way of getting around.

Responding to the need for clean and comfortable transport, Yamaha has recently launched two new electric vehicle models for its Urban Mobility range, namely the eBike BOOSTER Easy and the electric S-pedelec BOOSTER.

Both vehicles with a robust and timeless design, provide a more comfortable, efficient and ecological way to travel in urban and suburban areas.

These models provide city dwellers with a transport affordable and convenient without emitting polluting gases or disturbing noise.

It’s worth noting that both models feature identical designs and components, making them almost indistinguishable from one another. Technically speaking, they are also quite similar in nature.

BOOSTER Easy and BOOSTER electric bikes: how are they different?

The performance of the BOOSTER Easy eBike is the main differentiator compared to the other model, as it provides an assisted pedaling speed of up to 25 km/h, while the BOOSTER is an AM licensed S-pedelec or electric moped capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h.

Both models are equipped with a 630 Wh 36 V battery, which provides the PWseries S2 drive unit with a stable and efficient power source.

The battery is located in the center of the vehicle, allowing for quick and effortless removal if needed. It also allows you to center the mass.

BOOSTER Easy is equipped with a motor that helps it reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h, in accordance with the European regulation on electric bicycles. Riders have the option to switch their bikes to Zero mode, which disables the drive system and pedals itself.

Yamaha’s Zero Cadence technology offers immediate assistance as soon as it detects any pedaling activity, while the Auto Assist mode provides additional assistance when climbing a hill or fighting a headwind, etc. to ensure an easier and more enjoyable driving experience.

Depending on the rider’s weight, the Yamaha power unit can reach torque rates of up to 50% in +ECO mode and 280% in HIGH mode. When traveling with a 75 kg person, it can offer a distance of up to 120 km in +ECO and 60 km in ALTO.
