The world of tablets just got a lot more interesting, with Xiaomi recently unveiling its mid-range powerhouses, the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, back in December 2024. These devices boast impressive specs, leveraging the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets, which clock in at 2.8 GHz and 3.0 GHz, respectively. But it seems the Chinese tech giant isn’t done yet – according to insider sources from Digital Chat Station, a new flagship tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max, is on the horizon.
This upcoming device is rumored to feature a whopping 14-inch screen, support for 120W fast charging, and will likely be powered by a top-tier chipset, potentially the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, which has a maximum processing speed of 4.32 GHz. If this turns out to be true, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max could very well become a game-changer in the tablet market. As we can see from the images of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, the design language of these devices is already pretty sleek, so it’ll be exciting to see how the Pad 7 Max builds upon this.
But Xiaomi isn’t the only player in the game – Digital Chat Station also reports that two other Chinese brands are gearing up to launch their own flagship tablets with large screens. These include:
- A 13-inch LCD tablet powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which has a maximum speed of 3.63 GHz.
- A 13.2-inch tablet featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with a maximum speed of 4.32 GHz, and support for 80W fast charging.
Both of these devices are expected to launch in April 2025, which indicates that the Chinese tablet market is about to get a whole lot more competitive. As the market continues to heat up, it’ll be interesting to see how each brand differentiates their products and what features they’ll prioritize to stand out from the crowd.
