Xiaomi presented the Pad 5 range on August 10, 2021 in China, also available in Portugal. It was, at the time, one of the biggest launches of this manufacturer in the tablet segment after years of stagnation and general disinterest in this type of product.

Now, however, Chinese technology will already have a replacement in line to succeed the current Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro. In fact, new reports from its home country speak of a new range of Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets coming. in August.

Although the exact launch date is not known, the most recent report places this event in August 2022. The launch will take place first in China, Xiaomi’s home market, and then reach Europe, as well as other global markets where the manufacturer is present.

At the same time, an account of the filter mukul-sharma through the social network Twitter, places this launch between July and August. Furthermore, he states that the product is currently being tested in Europe under the model number 22081283G. This same Android tablet will have already obtained the certification of the EEC, the mobile device approval agency. This same certification revealed the existence of another model, possibly released under the aegis of Redmi with the model number L81A associated with the tablet.

Rumors suggest that Xiaomi and its Redmi sub-brand will release several Android tablet models in 2022. Apparently, the internal reference of these products, consisting of the L81, L81A, L82 and L83, has already been discovered.

It is believed, for now, that one of the models will launch under Redmi, while the other three Android tablets will be variants or different versions of the Xiaomi Pad 6.

Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t know what its technical specifications will be, apart from the strong possibility of using a MediaTek processor instead of the traditional ones from Qualcomm.

Finally, we are now waiting for more information about Xiaomi’s next Android tablets, possibly in the middle of summer.
