WiZink hopes to host the best Nationals ever

“This year’s Spanish championship will be historic, the best ever”, valued today Ramon Morcillo, president of the Spanish Federation, at the WiZink Center in Madrid where the final draw of this edition will be played 37 to be held from October 23 to 31.

Headquarters and room are repeated, “But it will be different. The 2020 Absolute Nationals marked a milestone, but now we have an approved attendance of 8,000 viewers per session, further enhancing it.”.

In 2020 Urban Events opted for an ambitious plan, although it was only able to admit 1,500 spectators at the Wizink, and despite all the Spanish championship it was a success, due to the organizational capacity, the players who participated, and the prizes, equal to professional tournaments.

In this edition, more than 150 couples are expected, between men and women, “and the best shovels in the world”, because it is an Open tournament that last year was won by Paquito Navarro and Juan Martín Díaz in men, and Alejandra Salazar and Ari Sánchez in women.

Parity presides over the tournament, and 30,000 euros will be distributed in each box. In addition, in this edition, inclusive paddle tennis enters the fray, which has been establishing itself for a long season with wheelchair tournaments.
