WisdomTree Unveils Europe’s First Spot Stellar ETP: 0.50% Fee

WisdomTree, a global asset management firm, has launched Europe’s first spot Exchange Traded Product (ETP) backed by Stellar Lumens (XLM), reinforcing its leadership in the continent’s rapidly expanding cryptocurrency investment market as 2025 progresses.

The new ETP provides institutional investors a direct, secure, and low-cost avenue into the Stellar ecosystem. Its management fee is set at 0.50%, making it the most affordable spot XLM ETP available in Europe.

WisdomTree has already listed the product on the Swiss SIX exchange, as well as on Euronext platforms in Paris and Amsterdam. A debut on the German Xetra exchange is anticipated for October 15.

This launch expands WisdomTree’s institutional crypto ETP offerings to 11 products. These ETPs collectively manage over $2 billion and offer direct exposure to various digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and now Stellar.

Alexis Marinof, CEO of WisdomTree Europe, highlighted the company’s strong market position. He stated that WisdomTree led the European market in flows into crypto ETPs in 2024, and that momentum is continuing into 2025 with innovative solutions. These solutions, he added, reflect the security standards clients expect.

WisdomTree’s broader European operations have recently surpassed $50 billion in assets under management across its ETF and ETP lines. Globally, the firm’s total assets under management stand at $140 billion.

The firm has reported over $6 billion in net inflows year-to-date in 2025. This growth has been partly driven by the success of a European UCITS defense ETF, which has garnered over $4 billion and is considered a significant launch for the year.

Dovile Silenskyte, WisdomTree’s director of digital asset research, underscored Stellar’s importance in the evolving financial landscape. Silenskyte described Stellar as one of the world’s most established blockchains, primarily focused on resolving challenges in cross-border payments and finance.

Lumens (XLM) power the Stellar ecosystem, enabling efficient cross-currency transactions. The cryptocurrency maintains a fixed total supply of 50 billion units, without inflationary issuance. Stellar also boasts partnerships with over 69 regulated financial institutions across more than 170 countries, bridging traditional fiat money with digital assets.

Despite its long-term potential, XLM has faced short-term bearish pressure. Recent market data shows the asset trading near $0.3239, having declined 17.52% over the last 30 days, 20.3% in the past week, and 6% in the last 24 hours. Some analysts observe that XLM’s price behavior in 2025 mirrors its 2017 cycle, suggesting a potential for future long-term movement despite current volatility.
