Riyadh: The Saudi Passport Department has issued an explanation on the question asked about the expiration of passports abroad.

The department said that for the registration of a new passport, in addition to the passport number and the date of its issuance, an expiration date is entered. This process is called ‘duplicate information’ in Arabic.
According to Saudi law, it is necessary to provide a copy of the new passport, for which a copy of the passport can be obtained through the employer’s Abshar or resident account.
