War in Ukraine: nine dead in a strike against a television tower in the west of the country, according to local authorities

A strike by the Russian army against a television tower in Antopil, near the city of Rivne in western Ukraine, left nine dead and nine injured on Monday March 14, according to local authorities.

“Two Missiles” hit the television tower, 15 kilometers east of Rivne, as well as an administrative building located next to it, said the head of the local administration, Vitali Kobal. “At the moment, the rescue operations are still ongoing and will continue until the debris in the buildings is completely cleared”he added.

According to Ukrainian relief, the bombardment took place around 03:25 GMT (04:25 Paris time) on Monday. According to Vitali Kobal, access to television was already restored at the end of the day in the northern part of the Rivne region, via the cable network.
