Vivo X200 Ultra Boasts Impressive Portrait Shots with ZEISS Optics

Get ready for a new level of smartphone photography. The vivo X200 Ultra is coming soon, thanks to a partnership with ZEISS, a world-renowned camera brand. This premium phone will have multiple cameras with different focal lengths, including:

  • 35 mm and 50 mm (main camera)
  • 85 mm and 135 mm (periscope zoom camera, up to 3.5x zoom)
  • 14 mm (ultrawide camera, 116-degree angle)

Recently, Han Boxiao, vivo’s product manager, shared some sample photos on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform. The photos were taken with the main camera (50MP, Sony IMX888 sensor) and the periscope camera (200MP, Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor).

The first set of photos shows off the classic focal lengths of 35 mm and 50 mm, followed by 85 mm and 135 mm.

Next up, we have photos taken with the main camera zoomed in to 50 mm and the periscope camera zoomed in to 135 mm. These shots demonstrate the phone’s ability to capture impressive facial details and skin tones.

The final set of photos shows off the phone’s low-light photography capabilities, with the last one using flash to capture natural colors and lighting.

Earlier, Han had shared some sample photos taken with the phone’s ultrawide camera, which impressed with its exposure management, detail retention, and natural color rendering.

In addition to its top-notch camera sensors and software, the vivo X200 Ultra also features a dedicated image signal processor (ISP) called VS1, which enhances exposure and focus, and performs tasks like image stacking. There’s also a V3+ chip that handles more complex processing tasks, such as noise reduction and image sharpening.

The vivo X200 Ultra is set to launch in April 2025, along with the X200s, which will have a large 6,000 mAh battery and support up to 7 years of Android software updates.
