Vivo bets on folding smartphones and launches the new X Fold+

The Chinese brand seems to have embraced the folding smartphone segment and has just launched a new terminal in the Chinese market that brings with it some new features compared to the previous model.

Vivo has just officially presented its new folding smartphone X Fold+. The terminal arrives with the same design as its predecessor, but at the hardware level it brings with it some interesting new features.

The first change is soon found in the processor. The new X Fold+ has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip at the controls, this is the novelty, as it maintains the LPDDR5 RAM of up to 12 GB and the UFS 3.1 storage of up to 512 GB of its predecessor.

The external screen is 6.53 inches and Full HD + resolution while the internal screen is 8.03 inches and 2K resolution. Both panels are AMOLED, as well as providing a 120Hz refresh rate.

It should be noted that the new X Fold + equipment can be folded at different angles, including 30, 90 and 120 degrees, the brand advances.

Optically, the Vivo X Fold+ inherits exactly the same features as its predecessor: the quad rear camera setup features a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and even an eight-megapixel periscope sensor. megapixel resolution.

Otherwise, the new foldable Vivo is powered by a 4,730mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It even runs the OriginOS interface, based on the Android 12 operating system.

As we mentioned, the new Vivo X Fold + is already available in the Chinese market, and the variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs 9,999 yuan, that is, about 1,450 euros, while the version of 12 GB RAM + 512 GB. It is priced at 10,999 yuan, approximately 1,590 euros.

For now, the brand has not provided information on the availability of the terminal in the global market.
