Royal Challengers Bangalore wrapped up their league stage in second place after taking down Lucknow. The team’s ninth win in 14 matches secured their spot in Qualifier 1. A familiar face in the crowd was Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, cheering on the team.
Kohli and Anushka are one of India’s most talked-about couples. Anushka was absent from the stadium for the initial matches but has been a constant presence since the IPL restart. The couple even took a trip to Vrindavan after Kohli’s Test retirement. Anushka attended both of RCB’s matches in Lucknow and also accompanied Kohli to Ayodhya before the match.

Kohli was thrilled that his team finished the league stage in second place, having already qualified for the playoffs. The top two teams get two chances to make it to the final. After the win, Kohli was seen having fun, walking down the stairs, which left Anushka in stitches.

Next up, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face off against table-toppers Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on May 29 at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium, Punjab’s home ground. The winner will head to the final, while the loser will get another chance in Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator match.
