Vinted, a well-known online platform for second-hand clothing, launched its first pop-up store in London on March 22. Called “House of Vinted,” the event took place at The Adria hotel in South Kensington. It gave attendees the chance to discover and buy high-end, second-hand clothing from top brands like Prada, Gucci, and Jacquemus.
A Unique Shopping Experience
The pop-up store had different themed rooms. These included “Art Deco Déjà Vu,” “Modern Eclectic’s Encore,” and “Cottagecore Comeback.” Each space showcased collections picked by industry celebrities like Susie Lau and Victoria Magrath. Visitors could also attend fashion workshops and get personalized style advice from stylist Manisha Sabharwal.
This event was invite-only, with select Vinted members getting invitations before March 22. For those who couldn’t attend, the collection went online on March 25. Emma Sullivan, Vinted’s creative director, said the goal is to make luxury second-hand fashion accessible to everyone.
Going Global and Digital
The London pop-up is part of Vinted’s plan to expand globally and focus on sustainability in fashion. According to Startups Españolas, Vinted has seen huge growth, especially after the pandemic. Today, it has over 65 million registered users, making it one of Europe’s top tech platforms.
Vinted keeps innovating, adding products like electronics, books, toys, and video games. Its goal is to make second-hand shopping the world’s first choice.
