Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The news, which broke on Friday, has sent waves of celebration across the entertainment industry.
Vicky Kaushal’s father, acclaimed action director Sham Kaushal, shared his profound happiness on social media. He expressed immense gratitude, posting about his joy at becoming a grandfather.
“Since yesterday, no matter how much I thank God for His grace on my family, it falls short compared to His blessings,” Sham Kaushal wrote. “God has been very kind. May God’s grace continue to be on my children and the youngest Kaushal. We are all very happy and feel very blessed. Very happy to be a grandfather. May God bless everyone.”
The couple tied the knot in December 2021 during a private ceremony held in Rajasthan. They had previously announced their pregnancy to fans via an Instagram post.
Sham Kaushal boasts a distinguished career as an action director in the film industry. He began his journey as a stuntman before transitioning into directing action sequences in 1990.
His debut as an action director was with the 1990 Malayalam film Indrajalam. He has since contributed to numerous blockbuster films.
