The VCT Americas (VALORANT Champions Tour) playoffs reached their climax on Friday night with MIBR facing off against Sentinels in the upper bracket final. This best-of-three match was a nail-biter that saw Sentinels take the first two maps, putting MIBR on the brink of elimination.
The Thrilling Match
The series kicked off on Lotus, MIBR’s map pick. Sentinels dominated early, but MIBR fought hard to stay in the game. In the end, Sentinels’ Zachary “zekken” Patrone led his team to a 13-8 victory.
The second map, Split, followed a similar pattern. MIBR’s Erick “aspas” Santos and his teammates pushed hard, notching 11 points, but Sentinels ultimately prevailed, reaching 13 points first.
With Sentinels winning the series 2-0, MIBR’s hopes now rest on winning the lower bracket final. This crucial match is set for Saturday and will be streamed live on the VALORANT Esports BR YouTube channel.
