A top-tier esports organization is shaking up its championship-winning VALORANT roster, with star player Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro departing just months after securing a major international title.
Sentinels announced Montemurro’s departure on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. He is now officially free to explore new opportunities with other teams for the 2026 season.
Montemurro was a key member of the Sentinels squad that captured the VALORANT Masters Madrid title in 2024. He played alongside Zachary “zekken” Patrone, Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, and Amine “johnqt” Ouarid in that victory.
Following the announcement, Montemurro shared his sentiments on X, formerly Twitter. He expressed gratitude for his two years with Sentinels, acknowledging both highs and lows.
We accomplished so much in 2 years, and I'm forever grateful for this chapter with Sentinels. The happy times, the sad times, the angry times, all of it was worth the journey, and while it may not have ended the way we hoped, I'm glad it all happened. “While it may not have ended the way we hoped, I’m glad it all happened,” Montemurro wrote, hinting at an unexpected conclusion to his tenure.
The team has seen multiple roster changes recently. Sentinels also parted ways with Sean “bang” Bezerra, who had been with the organization for approximately one year.
Montemurro’s journey with Sentinels has been circuitous. He first joined in July 2022, but left the following month for Version1, where he played until October 2022.
He then moved to Cloud9, competing with them from October 2022 until September 2023. Montemurro returned to Sentinels in September 2023, staying with the team until his most recent departure.
The 2024 VALORANT Masters Madrid final saw Sentinels defeat Gen.G Esports with a 3-2 score. This tournament was also notable as one of the last played by Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi before he announced his retirement.
