The Uruguayan tax authority, DGI, is warning people about a scam email claiming they have money waiting.
The email says recipients must pay a tax first to get the cash.
It even includes a fake signature from former DGI head Margarita Faral and copies of official stamps.
DGI says this is not real and they didn’t send it.
They’re telling people not to respond or pay anything if they get the email.
Instead, they should report it through DGI’s “Technical Incident Report” page.
