The festive season of Chaitra Navratri has begun, and with it, a wave of spiritual energy is sweeping across the nation. For many, this nine-day celebration is a time for rejuvenation, self-reflection, and connecting with the divine feminine. Our TV industry stars are no exception, as they immerse themselves in the vibrant colors and traditions of Navratri.

One such star is Himani Shivpuri, who reveals that she observes a strict nine-day fast, even when shooting abroad. “I worship Goddess Durga with utmost devotion, reciting the Durga Shaptashati and performing puja thrice a day,” she shares. Her dedication to the goddess is evident in her words, as she believes that Maa Durga embodies the power and strength that every woman aspires to.

Meanwhile, Geetanjali Sharma, known for her role as Rajesh in the popular show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, is another celebrity who observes the Navratri fast with great fervor. For her, Navratri represents women’s empowerment, as it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. “I have always been fascinated by the stories of Goddess Durga’s bravery and kindness,” she says, adding that she follows a strict fruit-based diet during the fast and visits the temple regularly to seek the goddess’s blessings.

Shivangi Verma, who has acted in shows like Hamari Sister Didi and Bhootu, views Navratri as a celebration of spiritual energy. She observes the fast with great enthusiasm, focusing on a healthy diet that includes coconut water, fresh fruits, and light snacks like makhana. “I make sure to eat at regular intervals to maintain my energy levels during shoots,” she shares, adding that she loves wearing traditional attire during this period, which infuses her with a sense of positivity and renewed energy.

Kishori Shahane, who plays the role of Babita in the show Kaise Tum Mujhe Mil Gaye, sees Navratri as a symbol of new beginnings. A Punjabi by birth, she has always been drawn to the vibrant celebrations and traditions of Navratri. “I fast for two days and participate in the traditional kanjak puja, which is an essential part of our family’s festivities,” she reveals, adding that she takes her meals from home, carefully avoiding certain foods like onions and garlic to maintain the sanctity of the occasion.

As these TV stars come together to celebrate the spirit of Navratri, it’s clear that this festival is about more than just rituals and traditions – it’s about connecting with one’s inner self, embracing the divine feminine, and emerging stronger and more resilient than ever.
