Trump agrees with Biden: He calls the invasion of Ukraine genocide

Former United States President Donald Trump has joined the current president, Joe Biden, and has branded "genocide" the Russian invasion of Ukraine, amid the controversy generated by the use of this term.

In an interview with Fox News that aired Wednesday night, Trump has lashed out at Biden for his policies, which he has said have caused record inflation. "Add now what is happening in Ukraine. It’s a genocide"he added, has collected the portal ‘The Hill’.

Trump, who maintains a close personal relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, has previously said the Russian invasion of Ukraine was a "holocaust".

Biden spoke Tuesday of "genocide" Russian in Ukraine, sparking controversy. While leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau consider "absolutely correct" describe Russian acts in Ukraine as "genocide"others like the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, have called for "caution" with the terms used in the context of the invasion and speaks of "war crimes".
