Young Dean Berta Viñales, Cousin of Maverick Viñales, who competes in the Moto GP World Championship, died as a result of an accident in Race 1 of the Supersport 300, after crashing in Turn 1 of the Jerez circuit.
The Spanish sustained head and chest injuries from the accident and, despite the quick action of medical services and their transfer to a Medical Center, died from trauma.
