Surne Bilbao has officially announced the signing of Tomasz Gielo, a Polish power forward, making him the second new addition to the team after Harald Frey’s announcement last week.
Gielo, 31 years old and 2.05 meters tall, joins the Basque team from Strów Wielkopolski in Poland, where he averaged 12.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 15.3 efficiency per game. Previously, he played in the Endesa League with Casademont Zaragoza, bringing his total experience in the Spanish league to 124 matches.
Gielo has also played internationally, representing Poland, and has spent time in leagues such as the German, Greek, and Turkish leagues. He is a versatile player who can excel in outside shooting, passing, and rebounding.
“We believe that Gielo’s experience and skills will greatly benefit our team,” said Rafa Pueyo, the sports director of Surne Bilbao.
