Tiger Woods involved in two-car rollover crash in Florida: Sheriff confirms investigation

Golf icon Tiger Woods was involved in a two-vehicle rollover crash on Jupiter Island on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred just after 2:00 p.m. local time near 281 Beach Road. Martin County Fire Rescue officials stated there were no initial reports of severe injuries. One individual was evaluated in stable condition. Another declined medical transport.

The crash instantly triggered alarms across the sports world. Woods, now 50, survived a devastating single-car rollover accident in California in 2021 that left him with severe open fractures in his right leg. That crash permanently restricted his professional playing schedule.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is currently securing the scene. Sheriff John Budensiek announced a press conference scheduled for 5:00 p.m. local time to provide exact details on the cause of the collision and the identities of all involved. The exact physical condition of Woods has not been formally released by his representatives.

Woods resides near the crash site. The area is close to where he was arrested in 2017 on a DUI charge tied to an unexpected reaction to prescription medication. He had just returned to competitive activity earlier this week. He competed in the TGL indoor golf league in Palm Beach Gardens. Woods has not played in an official PGA Tour event since July 2024.

Major networks including CBS affiliate WPEC and ABC News corroborated the immediate emergency response. First responders confirmed only one of the two vehicles rolled over in the collision. Investigators remain at the scene to determine the sequence of events.
