The action-adventure game Tides of Annihilation made a splash at the State of Play event. It’s no surprise, given the success of Chinese game studios with titles like Black Myth: Wukong.
Tides of Annihilation is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Developed by Eclipse Glow Studio, the game takes place in London and draws inspiration from the legend of King Arthur. The story mode is expected to last around 30 hours.
But that’s not all – players can expect additional content, like secret bosses that will take more than 30 hours to beat. The combat system is hack-and-slash style, similar to Devil May Cry, allowing players to experiment with different fighting styles and use a variety of weapons. Players can wield up to four types of weapons at once.
The game also features RPG-style character development, where players can level up and upgrade their character’s gear to increase their power. The character’s appearance can also be customized with different outfits.
Tides of Annihilation is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a release planned for 2026.
