Tiago Matos has found a new home at Marco 09. The club recently announced his arrival. This Portuguese midfielder is 24 years old. He also has the skill to play as a full-back, which gives his new team good options.
Matos joins Marco 09 after spending one season with Torreense. But his journey in football goes beyond Portugal’s borders. He played in Poland for Radomiak Radom. Before that, he was in Slovakia, representing Tatan Presov. These experiences abroad surely added to his game.
His football roots are strong, beginning at FC Porto’s academy. He was part of a special team there. In the 2018/19 season, Matos helped FC Porto win the UEFA Youth League. That’s a big prize for young players. It shows he knows how to win at a high level.
When he spoke about joining Marco 09, Matos kept it clear and simple. “I am very happy to be here,” he said. He added that he’s “prepared to help the team with its objectives.” The club shared his thoughts in a video posted on their Facebook page.
