India vs Ireland
The Indian team recently lost the five-game T20 series to the West Indies 3-2. Hardik Pandya was the captain of the team in this series and more than one strong player played in the team. However, Ireland will be a young side led by Bumrah who will see this run as a fitness test. He will return after about 11 months. Other fast bowlers in this roster include Arshdeep Singh, the famous Krishna and Avesh Khan. How was Mukesh Kumar’s performance?
Mukesh made his Test debut on the West Indies tour, recording two wickets overall in one game. However, with the game ending in a tie, he didn’t have many bowling opportunities in the second inning. His performance impressed the coach and captain and he also received the ODI cap. Here he hit runs in three games with an excellent economy of 4.6 and took four wickets overall. The T20 series wasn’t anything special for him, maybe that’s because his role was still undecided. In five T20 games, Mukesh hit runs with an economy of 8.81 and took just three wickets. His performance was decent but now that Bumrah and Famous have returned he may have to sit on the bench due to the composition of the squad.
