To raise the quality of the Dominican industry in terms of national production, the National Association of Companies and Industries of Herrera (ANEIH) yesterday held the second edition of the Innova 2022 Symposium, a stage from which the main challenges of large, small and Dominican medium-sized companies at the level of competitiveness, organization and reinvention.
The first panel of the event featured presentations by international experts specializing in innovation, creativity, customer service, technology, and the organizational structure of companies, among other topics.
The Colombian speaker Gabriel Vallejo, who spoke on “Quality with a focus on customer service and competitiveness,” explained that the owners of large, small and medium-sized companies in Latin America and the Caribbean make the mistake of constantly prioritizing their customers, thus neglecting the raw material of their companies. “The important thing is to generate value for customers and take care of those who work for them: the employees,” he said.
Vallejo considered “what our bosses have always told us that what is important are the customers is false (…) As long as companies do not have happy and satisfied employees, there is no chance that customers will be happy and satisfied.”
The second speaker was the Spanish expert Franc Ponti, who presented the symposium attendees with seven tools to innovate.

Ponti, professor of Innovation and Creativity at Barcelona, said that the first thing is to define what you want to achieve, identify the team that will carry out the task, make changes, be guided by trends, be creative, execute the project and finally, evaluate the results. .
